King James Bible Treasuries in Large Print

Large print KJV Bible books, one book or passage to a volume, in the King James words most of us grew up hearing. Each treasury gives you a single book or passage complete: all one hundred and fifty Psalms, the whole Gospel of John, Ruth and Esther, Ecclesiastes and the Song of Solomon, the Sermon on the Mount, the Passion and Resurrection. Ten scripture treasuries are set in large print on 8.5 x 11 inch pages, so the type is easy on tired eyes. Two devotionals, An Advent with Spurgeon and Hymns We Remember, sit alongside them. They are for readers who want one book open on the table, for gifts to parents and grandparents, and for anyone who reads better on paper than on a screen. Every copy is printed to order.

What is inside

Each scripture treasury holds one book or passage of the King James Bible, whole rather than in extracts. A Treasury of Psalms holds all one hundred and fifty Psalms in 248 pages. A Treasury of Proverbs (102 pages) is plain wisdom, one verse at a time. The Gospel of John (104 pages) is complete and unabridged. Psalms of Comfort and Strength (112 pages) gathers the Psalms families reach for in hospital rooms and hard weeks; The Words of Jesus (102 pages) gathers the passages where Jesus teaches at length, in Gospel order.

The shorter treasuries read in a sitting: Ruth and Esther (54 pages), The Nativity (54), Ecclesiastes and the Song of Solomon (56), The Sermon on the Mount (58) and The Passion and Resurrection (58). Two devotionals join them: An Advent with Spurgeon (60 pages), a morning and an evening reading for each day from 1 to 25 December, and Hymns We Remember (64 pages), twenty-eight hymns with every verse.

Who gives these books, and why

A large-print Psalms goes to a parent whose Bible type has grown too small. The Gospel of John suits a first reader who wants one Gospel, not the whole Bible at once. Psalms of Comfort and Strength is the one to take into a hospital room. The Nativity is for reading aloud on Christmas Eve. Plenty of readers buy for themselves: one book open on the table, no phone in the way, something a screen cannot give.

How they are made

Every book in this collection is 8.5 x 11 inches (US Letter) and printed after you order it. Our shipping policy puts it plainly: "Everything we sell is made to order." It also says "Shipping is free on every order, within Australia and internationally" and "Delivery times are estimates and may be longer for remote destinations or during busy periods, particularly November and December." Prices run from A$44.63 to A$65.28. The books are published under our Sovereign Publishing imprint.

How to choose

Is the print large?

Yes for the ten scripture treasuries, which are set in large print on 8.5 x 11 inch pages. We list large print only on those ten; the two devotionals, An Advent with Spurgeon and Hymns We Remember, are on the same 8.5 x 11 inch page size.

Are these complete books of the Bible or selections?

Most are complete. A Treasury of Psalms holds all one hundred and fifty Psalms, The Gospel of John is complete and unabridged, Ruth and Esther gives both whole books, and The Nativity gives the Christmas story from Matthew and Luke complete. Psalms of Comfort and Strength and The Words of Jesus are gathered selections, and the title says which.

Which translation is used?

The King James Version throughout the scripture treasuries. An Advent with Spurgeon is a set of quiet readings from the preacher Spurgeon, a morning and an evening reading for each day from 1 to 25 December, and Hymns We Remember prints the hymns themselves.

Can I write in them?

These are reading books rather than journals. The one exception is Hymns We Remember, which leaves room to note where you sang each hymn.

How long will my order take to arrive?

Each book is printed after you order it, so allow for printing as well as post. Our shipping policy says: "Delivery times are estimates and may be longer for remote destinations or during busy periods, particularly November and December." Shipping is free on every order, within Australia and internationally.

Can I return a book?

Our refund policy says: "Our books and journals are printed individually for each order, so we do not accept returns for change of mind. If your book arrives damaged, defective, misbound, misprinted, has missing pages, or is materially different from what you ordered, email us within 30 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos showing the issue."
