Mum, Start at the Beginning (Hardcover)
Mum, Start at the Beginning (Hardcover)
Details
You will end up with the one thing no photograph gives you: your mother's life in her own handwriting, in her own words, in the order she wants to tell it. Two hundred questions do the asking, so you never have to find the moment or the phrasing yourself - and she is never left staring at a blank page.
For adult children who keep meaning to ask, for families spread across cities, and for anyone giving a mother, grandmother or mother-in-law something better than another candle. It works filled in alone, posted back and forth, or answered out loud at a kitchen table with someone writing it down.
