Twenty-eight hymns that were sung in churches, at weddings and at funerals for generations, with the words set large enough to read aloud and a remembering prompt after each one. Read a hymn, sing it if you like, then write on the lines that follow: where you first heard it sung, whose voice you hear in it now, what Sunday evenings were like in your family. It is something a screen cannot give: a real book you hold, write in, and hand on.
Who it is for
Older readers who grew up with these hymns, and the families who sit and read with them. No musical skill is needed. The hymns read well aloud as poems and suit a family singalong just as well. Families reading with someone whose memory is failing often find these words come back when other words do not.

- After each hymn, one remembering prompt with ruled lines to write on, 28 in all: Who taught you your first prayers? What was Christmas morning like in your childhood home?

Returns
If it arrives damaged, misprinted, or not what you ordered, we replace it or refund you in full. It costs you nothing, and you will not be asked to post anything back — just email us with your order number and a photo. Please check your book when it arrives and tell us straight away, so we can have it reprinted quickly; we accept reports up to 30 days after delivery, for books, apparel, totes and caps alike.
