The Town I Knew By Heart (Hardcover)
The Town I Knew By Heart (Hardcover)
Details
Half of the place you grew up in no longer exists. This book puts it back on paper: the streets, the shops and the people who ran them, the churches and halls, the local characters, the hard years, and what is still standing. For anyone who has moved away, for local history groups, and for older adults whose memory of a town is now the primary source. Two hundred questions with sketch pages for drawing a street or a shopfront from memory and list pages for names that would otherwise be lost. The kind of record a local library ends up asking for a copy of.
